After losing my first husband to cancer, I never imagined falling in love again—until I met Bill. A professional baseball player, contractor, and competitive dancer, he brought joy back into my life. We married in 2010, and life was blissful.
Then, in 2021, everything changed. Bill was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Diabetes, and our world turned upside down. Suddenly, I was juggling doctor appointments, meal planning, caregiving, a full-time job, and researching best practices—all while trying to keep my sanity.
Within a year, I began to feel the toll. I was constantly fatigued, irritable, plagued by migraines, digestive issues, and overwhelmed. I wanted to run away, but I knew I couldn’t. Bill needed me. That’s when I realized I had to care for myself too—or we’d both suffer.
As I studied to become a health coach, I learned the power of holistic care: addressing body, mind, and spirit. Self-care became my lifeline. Gradually, my migraines faded, my energy improved, and my resilience grew. Now, I’m stronger for myself and my family, and life feels good again.
